SurviveAlive youthworks aims to promote spiritual, physical and emotional well-being through its summer camps and events. As part of this, we help to develop team-work and leadership skills amongst our young people.
If you are aged 17 or over, you may want to come to the camp as a Young Leader. This role gives you the opportunity to take on more responsibility. You will be part of the team that runs the camp, whilst still remaining a camper. Young Leaders help out around the site and have additional roles and responsibilities within the areas of catering, Audio/Video operation, sport leadership, worship leading, camper encouragement and Small Group leadership.
No two Young Leaders are the same, each will bring a different set of skills and a fresh personality, and will work alongside the other leaders to make sure the camp runs smoothly.
For an outline of the Young Leader role, please see our Young Leader job description.
If you would like to be a Young Leader at the camp, please contact us or indicate this on your booking form.
You’ll also be asked to come along to a Young Leader training event in order to get to know the other leaders, and develop your leadership skills.
SurviveAlive can also be used for the residential section of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. For more information please contact us.
